Tank rebuild
Portland, Oregon |
Kinder Morgan hired TARSCO, one of the TF Warren companies, to demolish one of their tanks at their Linnton, OR tank terminal down to the bottom, to rebuild the tank, and to provide finished coatings.
TARSCO utilized Blastco, one of the TF Warren companies, to provide lead abatement in the initial phase of the project and then to provide both interior and exterior tank coatings prior to turning the tank back to Kinder Morgan operations. Bundling these services provides a single point of contact for our key account customers like Kinder Morgan while assuring our customers in-house control over schedule and shortest out of service time.
This tank was 114’-6” Ø x 40’ in height and was built in accordance with API 650 standards and ASME welding and inspection procedures. TARSCO utilized its unique Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction, and Coatings (EPFCC) process with our single point of contact Project Management system. TARSCO completed the tank by providing supervision of the hydro-testing and calibration. This project was completed without any Health, Safety, and Environmental incidents in accordance to the contract schedule and cost.
Kinder Morgan management expressed appreciation to TARSCO for our professional business approach and valued supplier relationship. |
